After high school, Zach turned his passion for the water into a career, starting as a deckhand in the tugboating industry before earning his captain’s license at 22 and later a Master 200 Ton License.

Zach’s fishing journey began with his first offshore center console, the Finn Collector, before he purchased Knot Tuggin, a 35-foot Carolina Classic powered by twin 480 HP Cummins engines, in 2021. He now juggles both his passions, splitting time between tugboating and running charters. Captain Zach specializes in live bait fishing, bottom fishing, and trolling, techniques well suited to landing both dinner-sized catches and trophy fish.

The business primarily targets offshore pelagics and bottom dwellers, but also offers half-day and full-day inshore trips, along with whale watching and sunset cruises for up to 6 guests.
