Every trip runs on commercial-grade Jackson sit-on-top kayaks, available as single or tandem, chosen specifically for their wider, longer, heavier, and more forgiving design compared to traditional sit-in kayaks. The 1-2 Hour trip (Roosevelt Park to the Blue Star District, 1.2 miles round trip) is a laid-back, relaxing paddle through calm water lined with native trees, with wildlife including geese, ducks, turtles, egrets, herons, lizards, frogs, and fish along the way, turning around at the Riverwalk Stepping Stone Bridge. The 4-Hour Adventure (Roosevelt Park to Espada Park, 6.5 miles one-way) offers a genuine challenge with more than 20 kayak chutes to navigate, occasional portaging depending on river flow, and a deeper look at the Mission Reach area’s wildlife and scenery — guests need their own transportation back from Espada Park since it’s a one-way trip, and equipment pickup is handled by the business.
Pricing includes kayak rental, life jacket, paddle, and launch/egress assistance, with a $30 fee for any broken paddles returned. Single kayaks hold up to 300 lbs, tandems up to 450 lbs, and children of any age are welcome to ride along with a parent (12 and under require a tandem).
