Her maritime career began nearly 30 years ago as an offshore divemaster on local shipwrecks and ledge systems, and she later lived and worked across St. John (USVI), Bonaire, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Dominica, and the Florida Keys before returning to Charleston, where she now lives on Isle of Palms with her family.
