R&R Fishing Charters has run guided salmon, halibut, and lingcod trips throughout the San Juan Islands and Strait of Juan de Fuca out of Anacortes, Washington for 37 years. The seasonal lineup runs nearly year-round. Halibut season opens April 2nd and runs through June 6th, followed by lingcod season from May 1st through June 15th. Baker Lake sockeye salmon fishing runs July 11th through the first week of August, limited to four anglers per trip, while a short July King salmon season runs July 16th through 18th, with additional dates opened by the state if quotas aren’t met. Private Bellingham Bay Chinook charters run August 1st through September 30th, Coho salmon season begins August 21st and runs through September 30th, and a dedicated Deception Pass Coho trip runs September 1st through the 30th. Bottom jigging trips run May 1st through September 30th and can be combined with crabbing or whale watching depending on the season.
Every trip includes all fishing equipment, poles, bait, and tackle, along with complimentary cleaning, filleting, and bagging of the catch. Complimentary rain gear and boots in adult sizes S to XL are available on request, and the boats feature an enclosed, heated cabin to keep guests comfortable in Washington’s changing weather. For an additional $4.50 per pound, catches can be vacuum packed, frozen, and shipped home via FedEx.
Most trips run $335 per person, with the Deception Pass Coho trip priced at $285 per person and bottom jigging trips starting at $235 per person. A 10% deposit secures a reservation, with the remaining balance and any license fees due in cash on the day of the trip, and a 10% discount is offered to active-duty military with a current ID.
