Putnam’s Harbor is Lake Murray’s premier marina, located in Chapin, South Carolina, offering wet slips, dry stack storage, a full-service fuel dock, and a ship store at a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility. The marina boasts the 5th tallest dry stack facility in the world, with more than 360 total storage spaces between wet and dry options.

The marina features 105 wet slips in an ultra-secure, concrete-topped floating dock system, with power and water supplied to each slip at no extra cost and water depths from 11′ to 26′, safely accommodating boats year-round, including sailboats. A 15-minute unloading area, ample parking, a private launch ramp, and keypad-gated access with 24/7 camera surveillance round out the wet slip experience. The dry stack storage area, operated by certified forklift operators using a custom-built “Marina Bull,” offers hurricane-rated, covered racks holding 220 boats up to 7 stories high on carpeted bunks, with easy app-based launching that has the boat fueled and iced before arrival.

The fuel dock offers both 90 and 93 non-ethanol gasoline as well as diesel, and the on-site ship store stocks ice, cold drinks, snacks, and ice cream. Mobile food truck kitchens operate on-site during spring and summer weekends with an ever-changing menu, and ultra-clean marble restroom and shower facilities are available for guests and slip holders.

A tritoon boat rental fleet is planned for the future, giving visitors an upcoming way to explore Lake Murray, though this service was not yet active as of the most recent site update.
