Miss Jennifer Charter Fishing has served the lower Eastern Shore of Virginia since 1978, when Captain Ray Cardone bought the boat and began building a reputation as a fixture on the Cape Charles Bayside. Originally from Alexandria, Virginia, Ray moved to Virginia Beach at 13, worked on a sportfishing boat through his teenage years, ran a headboat for D&M Marina in the Lynnhaven area, and earned his USCG captain’s license at 19, the minimum required age, before eventually settling on the Eastern Shore.
The boat is a 33-foot Express sport fisherman, docked at Cherrystone Campgrounds on Kings Creek, just across the creek from the Oyster Farm. Captain Ray and his crew are known for consistently putting anglers on croaker, spot, flounder, grey trout, bluefish, black drum, sea bass, tautog, and other species found along the Lower Eastern Shore Bayside, with offshore trips also available for tuna, wahoo, marlin, and shark.
