Haslam’s Marina, Inc. has served Lake Sinclair since 1961, when Al Haslam purchased the property, cleared the land, built the docks, oversaw construction of the buildings, and served as resident operator for years. The lake was young and remote back then, with only a handful of rustic weekend cabins — most customers were daytime visitors putting in using the marina ramp or hoist, spending their day fishing, skiing, and cruising before taking out in the evening.

Over the decades, many families have established permanent homes around the marina, turning the area into a thriving, exciting community and a desirable vacation destination. Al Haslam personally greeted and served marina customers for more than 48 years, watching several generations learn to love the natural beauty of Lake Sinclair and the fun and relaxation that outdoor recreation offers to all ages.
